Dear Patients,
The Doctors and our Staff Family at Ingleside would like to update you on our plans and preparations in the face of this Coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic. This involves measures to protect our patients and staff who come to the office to give or receive care, as well as protocols for screening patients over the phone so that some ill patients can be seen without even entering the office. Your health and well-being are the primary reason we exist as a practice. Let’s look at a brief overview of how we are striving to keep you safe, while still getting the care you need during this time.
First and foremost is our protocol to keep High Risk patients from contaminating others in our office during their evaluation. A key aspect of the protocol is the health interview that occurs via phone when a patient calls to schedule care. This questioning helps us determine if someone is at high or lower risk for actually carrying Covid-19. If the criteria met is higher, then our protocol involves the patient being seeing in our office’s rear parking region so that the patient does not even need to enter our office. We will gear up and come to you in this scenario. Some others who do not meet high risk criteria can also still be seen outside if requested when calling/scheduling. Some others will be directed to a rear entrance to the office and seen in a designated “isolation room” near this entrance. Whichever means by which a patient will be seen, the CRITICAL factor in this is preparation and being thorough with your symptoms and history when you call our office.
As expected, other measures involve the frequency and means of cleaning the office, chairs, tables, and equipment used in care. Our goal in doing so is to ensure the office remains as clean as possible with the goal of preventing the transmission of any potential communicable conditions. We know that many patients will continue the need to be seen regularly for their ongoing medical conditions in our office as this epidemic moves through it’s course. We hope that you trust in our goal of keeping our office environment as safe as possible for you to continue to do so. Please feel free to notify our office if you believe that you need special attention or care during this time. We will do all that we can to accommodate you in an appropriate fashion.
Again, our goal at Ingleside is keeping you healthy in every way we can assist. We will continue adapting to this virus, State and Federal guidelines, and any guidelines that will help us treat you better. We will also continue praying for you during this season. These are extraordinary times for all, but we believe that God is yet in control, and it is our prayer that this crisis will soon pass. It is our desire to serve Him by caring for you in the safest way possible. May God bless and protect you during this time.”
Sincerely,
The Doctors and Staff of Ingleside Medical Associates
